MISSION & HISTORY.
Shield of Colors is dedicated to raising awareness for those individuals who have been diagnosed with Cancer, Autism, or Hydrocephalus. Also, providing a caring village for those who are caregivers to their loved ones on a day to day basis. We understand firsthand the love and patience it takes to do this and this is why it is so important for us to continue the fight, raise awareness, and share knowledge for these very critical causes.
TASHOD'S JOURNEY.
He is the embodiment resilience. Since birth he has been a fighter as he was born 3 months premature and suffered a brain hemorrhage at 3 weeks old. He was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 6 and Hydrocephalus & Epilepsy at the age of 8. Following his VP Shunt placement he spent 3 years off and on in the hospital enduring 20 Shunt revision brain surgeries. He has more determination and strength than anyone I know and I am so honored to be his mother. I have dedicated this organization to him for his courage and day to day battle with Autism, and persevering through his trials with Hydrocephalus and Epilepsy. He is Indeed my Soljah Boy, which is the nickmane given to him by family members. I pray God continues to keep him and bless him, he will have an AMAZING Testimony to share one day!
